The Fair Trade Shop is situated within St. Andrew's complex.

We sell products from

Traidcraft -    A wide range of foodstuffs and crafts

Tearcraft -    A wide range of craft lines

SIWOK -       From South America

Hosanna Crafts - From Nepal

All of these goods come under the umbrella of "fair trade." This means that the producers and farmers are given more for their labour than given by commercial sources.

In addition the shop sells a wide range of greeting cards bought  straight from commercial sources and also a Traidcraft range.

Goods such as toys, china and glass, and "good-as-new" clothing are donated by the public. The standard is high and some are actually new.

All profits are given to various charities either in the third world or within the UK. In 2007 donations totalling £7040 were made to a number of charities. Turnover in 2007 was over £26,000. All staff are unpaid volunteers.  Further volunteers, to cover emergencies and to increase opening hours would be welcome. The church has a CCP policy in place.
